About the position

Critical Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Namibian Citizen or permanent resident with permission to work in Namibia. 
  • MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • 3 years or more relevant experience; good understanding and working knowledge of the Close Corporation and Companies Act and the Trust Administration Act.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a good sense of reliability and accuracy; regularly and independently follows up pending matters; proficiency in communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Must have obtained a basic understanding of secretarial administration matters, generally be well-organized.
  • Maintenance of Beneficial Ownership registers.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Attend to all secretarial administration processes for Close Corporations, Companies and Trusts. 
  • In charge of BIPA and Master of the High Court submissions and procedures.
  • In charge of Engagement letter and "Know Your Client" (KYC) procedures for all entities. 
  • Maintenance of secretarial administration processes.
  • Timeous submissions of Annual Duties for Close Corporations and Companies. 
  • Registrations and deregistrations of Close Corporations, Companies and Trusts.
  • Maintenance of client database for all entities.
  • Independently assist clients.
  • Administrative and training duties. 

Language requirement: English - must have a good grasp of written and spoken English.

Further preferences:

  • Person of a previously disadvantaged group as described in the Employment Equity Act.

  • Chartered Secretaries diploma (CIS) an added advantage.
